Causes of premature aging of needle bearings

The reasons for premature aging of needle roller bearings are: too tight, poor lubrication, strong vibration, material fatigue, pollution and corrosion.

1. The reason for the tightness is that the gap between the ball and the slide is too small, the torque becomes large, and the friction increases, causing the working temperature of the bearing to be too high. Therefore, try to adjust the correct bearing radial clearance during installation.

2. Poor lubrication is due to the severe lack of grease resulting in dry aging. Therefore, according to the running time of the motor, the state of the load, the ambient temperature and the quality of the grease, the time of the bearing replenishment should be determined.

3. Strong vibration is caused by strong vibration of the bearing caused by the failure of the motor core. This happens when we want to replace the new bearing of the same model.

4. Material fatigue is caused by the fatigue of the metal material, the loss of the bearing raceway and the surface of the ball falling into the grease, resulting in an increase in operating noise. Therefore, we should consider the normal fatigue of the bearing material and replace the new bearing of the same model.

5. Contamination corrosion, check for red, brown spotted corrosion on the surfaces of the raceways and balls.
