Common problems encountered when using linear guides

A good guide rail does not have a lot of noise. The size of the noise is one of the criteria for judging the quality of the YWS linear guide. Many manufacturers are also selling the no-noise to attract buyers. So is the sound of the YWS linear guide running during operation due to a malfunction?

If the YWS linear guide is in a sharp squeaking sound and other irregular sounds during operation, it generally indicates that the linear bearing has a bad operating condition. Sharp sounds may be caused by improper lubrication.

Secondly, the improper linear bearing clearance will also cause the sound of the metal, and even the manual can feel the lateral swing, and some of the slider gaps may cause excessive noise due to improper installation. Therefore, we usually recommend not only using good quality guide rails, but also strictly following the correct method during installation.

YWS linear guides may emit a low hum even if they are in a good operating condition, so the author or maintenance engineer of the machine must be highly alert to the fault signal of the linear bearing, whether the noise is normal or not. The sound should be discerned by hearing.
