YWS ball spline life knowledge

YWS ball splines usually have the following common installation methods: double push-free mode; double push-support mode; double push-double push mode.

 Protection of YWS ball splines:

Rolling friction transmissions such as ball spline pairs should avoid hard dust or chip dust entering, therefore, must be equipped with protective devices. If the YWS ball spline pair on the machine is exposed, a closed protective cover such as a coil spring steel sleeve, a telescopic sleeve, a folding sleeve, etc. should be used.

 When installing, connect one end of the shield to one side of the nut and the other end to the support seat. If the YWS ball spline pair is in a concealed position, it can be protected by a seal that is mounted on both ends of the nut. The contact elastomer seal is made of oil-resistant rubber or nylon, and its inner hole is shaped to fit the screw thread raceway. The contact seal has a good dustproof effect, but the friction torque is slightly increased due to the contact pressure.

 Materials and surface treatment:

Depending on the application, it may be necessary to rust the YWS ball spline or replace the material used.

 dust:

If foreign matter such as dust enters the ball spline, it will cause abnormal wear and shorten the service life, and foreign matter must be prevented from entering the external spline cylinder. Therefore, it is necessary to select a sealing device or a dustproof device to meet environmental conditions when foreign matter such as dust enters.

The YWS ball spline uses a special synthetic rubber seal as a dustproof attachment for high wear resistance. Some models also have better dust washers.
